How old is my MOFFAT?
A serial number alone may not establish the age of your MOFFAT equipment. Look for a manufacture date on the rating label, then check original documents or contact the manufacturer if the date is missing.
We recognize MOFFAT. We’re still building its age decoder.
You can still scan the data plate to extract the brand, model and serial and check available recall information. We won’t guess the manufacture date.
Send three clear photos: the whole appliance, brand/model area and full data plate. Qualifying approved contributions earn 50 free successful lookups, valid for 12 months from approval.

About MOFFAT
Moffat is a Canadian name that began as a stove maker in Ontario in the 1880s and 1890s and is credited with early electric ranges for home use. Since the late 1970s it has been one of the brands of Camco, the Canadian appliance maker later bought by Mabe, and it is now sold in Canada as a basic range of appliances through GE Appliances Canada.
Since 1977 Moffat appliances have been made or sourced by Camco and its successors (GE Appliances Canada / Mabe), often as versions of GE-designed products; production left the Weston plant in the early 1970s and moved from Hamilton offshore after 1983.
